Events & Activities

 

As part of our ongoing  support to our clients the Daizybell Team have organised various events over the last 12 months for our families to participate in and enjoy. We want to give thanks to the businesses who have supported by way of donations. 

 

April 2025 
        We hosted our first-ever Eid celebration for all our families. The food for this event was  kindly donated by Café Regal                                             with traditional Asian breakfast. Daizybell Homes  also provided breakfast treats and games and activities for the children.  The families had a wonderful time celebrating the end of Ramadan and sharing their culture and traditions with other Daizybell families. 

All our children received delicious Easter eggs to celebrate easter this year. The eggs were generously donated by one of our

funders for our children 

 

March 2025

The Daizybell Homes team hosted their first Ifṭār (evening meal to break the fast during Ramadan) event for clients and their families who were celebrating Ramadan and observing fasts. The food was generously donated by Mughals Restaurant and Sweet Centre Bradford and our clients participated by bringing their best home made dishes to share with everyone.

December 2024 – Christmas party 
A festive fun filled day for our families organised by the team. We received generous donations of Christmas presents for our children from the Salvation Army and New Burdens. The children had a wonderful time also taking part in organised activities such as making Christmas cards, participating in musical statues and playing pass the parcel. 

 

School Holidays Fun 
Organising holiday activities for families who have fled domestic abuse is a powerful way to foster healing, build bonds, and create joyful new memories. Many of our children had never been to the theatre before or gone bowling. The kind and generous donations from both Hollywood bowl and Bradford Theatres allowed not only our children to have this experience but also some of our clients. The events have also allowed our clients to meet new clients and each other in a social setting, share cultural experiences and

build positive relationships with each other. 

  July 2024 and February 2025 – Family bowling sessions 

December 2024 – Bradford Theatres donated tickets for our families to attend the launch evening for the Pantomine. The children met with Santa Claus and enjoyed the surreal snow atmosphere created by Alhambra Theatre. 

Arts and Crafts Sessions 
These sessions were available to both children and the women. The families had fun designing and making memory boxes to use to store memories of their different activities together as a family. The families also created a canvas with mum and child/children handprints to include in the memory boxes.
